The establishment of the Career Development Center at the University of Zakho(CDC-UOZ) aims to provide activities and support, to prepare students and inform alumni for career planning decisions for lifelong professional success. Moreover, the center is specialized to create a better collaboration between students and graduates of the University of Zakho with local and national private sector, companies, and organizations. In addition, the center aims at developing a supportive network between faculty and staff, as well as local, national, and international employers and alumni. The CDC vision is to see all students of the University of Zakho fully engaged in their career exploration in a manner that enhances their student life experience, and also services them to see the connection of their education to their career development, and enables them to accomplish their career goals and make a positive contribution to society.

Understanding about Customer Service & Access Communication Skills and Student Marketing - Developing and implementing effective marketing and communication strategy skills, for the students of University of Zakho.
Priority & Effective Management - Helping students to develop skills of time and project management plus taking priority in their work career environment.
Team working experience and skills - Create a positive, safe, cooperative, and productive work environment inside the university campus as well as with local private organizations where cultivation of personal expertise and professional development is encouraged for students.

Attend workshops or events. The center will also be hosting talks by employers and organizations on CV writing, project management, making most of work-based learning placement.
Relationship building- Enhance and build networks between graduate’s skills with marketing needs and linking the local and foreign employers with alumni.
Building a virtual and mutually bridge between the University of Zakho and other private and non-private sectors. Also link the university with other national and international universities by strong marketing relationships.
